PLEASE NOTE CAREFULLY:

The boxes available on this website (unless otherwise indicated) are made from “wet” wood which is straight from the tree. Wood is a natural product with inherent differences in moisture level, knots, grain and colour. While we do warrant the basic construction of our boxes there are some factors based on the nature of the wood that we cannot warrant.

For boxes made from “wet” wood we do not warrant against splitting, warping, saw marks, grain or colour variation, knots or mould.

  • Warping and splitting may occur to some boards and because different boards on the box may dry at different rates.
  • Some boards may have saw marks and a furry finish depending upon water content.
  • We make every effort to avoid knots in places that affect the stability of the box but we cannot eliminate them altogether.
  • Because wood is a natural product there may be grain and colour variation.
  • On natural finish boxes mould may exist in moist conditions and can be treated with vinegar which may leave a blue stain on the wood. If the boxes are either “aged” with our special ageing formula or stained they will generally not mould.

For boxes made from kiln dried wood we do not warrant against knots or differences in grain or colour

  • We make every effort to avoid knots in places that affect the stability of the box but we cannot eliminate them altogether.
  • Because wood is a natural product there may be grain and slight colour variation.

You are deemed to have accepted this warranty by submitting an order. After delivery any boxes with the above listed “faults” will be replaced at your expense.

WHAT can be returned?
If you find that the standard stock boxes you bought aren’t suitable for your requirements you are welcome to return them provided they are in re-saleable condition.

Should you have ordered custom boxes to your specifications, and you find they aren’t right for what you require, then we cannot offer you a refund/credit as it is unlikely that we would be able to sell these to someone else.

If the boxes are defective in some way, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can rectify this for you.

We agree to repair/replace any defective goods within a ‘reasonable’ period providing that the defect is in the materials or in the workmanship of the goods.
